Hello, it has been a long time since 0.2. Is the Project still alive? Will there be a 0.3? OpenPMA is a fine pice Software, it woud be sad, if the Project is dead.

Alive and kicking, I'm happy to say. The openPMA team is actively working on a 0.3 release, but no known dates exist for it at this time. Andrew
You're taking my word for it? ___________________________________________ I also have a 60GB 5G Black iPod (don't tell anyone)

I'm curious as well... about here and the openpma-ng project. I am soon to open a business and wish to promote the things you guys are doing here to boost revenue for the business... which in turn will have a portion donated to the project so things can move along more smoothly. But this place is so quiet. It's hard to believe anything is happening at all... Keep us informed, some of us are ready to help you all make things better... faster...

I'm beginning to fear the OpenPMA project went the way of the dodo. The last message on the wiki promises interesting things, but that message was written in january; nobody (except me, apparently) is adding tickets to the tracker and the changelogs are so dated they might as well have been written in cuneiform (only joking!). The foul stench of bitrot hangs in the cyberatmosphere...

I don't think I'll ever buy another Archos again. I just don't like the way they're doing business these days. When I bought my PMA, it just worked out of the box; I could watch video, record tv and do just about anything. These days, Archos almost charges you extra for an on/off button. That's just wrong and really not worth my money. I'm holding out for a Pandora...

point taken, but that is like saying that you'll never own another pc again because you hate how windows is doing the same thing... but every computer on the market can also run Linux, so you have options outside of what the mfg's give you. Archos's hardware is where my focus is. I could care less about their software. It's nice to have this and that working out of the box, but I like it more when I can get this and that working with my own efforts (and/or the efforts of those who are of like mind) So I will support them in the way of their great linux-friendly hardware... until they are not linux friendly anymore. Which reminds me.. what is Pandora? Google hasn't really helped in that topic...
